Sunshine, Glass and Beautiful Things

In its most basic form, glasswork isn't pretty. You have to know how to handle a sheet of glass, understand the characteristics of different types of glass and how they respond when you make a cut. We deal with jagged edges and shards of glass. Not to mention strips of lead that need to be cut and coaxed into the shape needed.

But the end result is always beautiful, and here at Commercial Art Glass, we are glass artists who never tire of looking at the finished product. So in the spirit of "the end result" here are a few pictures of our display pieces. With a southern exposure, sometimes the sun does magical things to the glass! Enjoy the view! Welcome To Our Blog!

Commercial Art Glass is happy to welcome you to our brand-new blog! We're glass artisans and have operated in Denver for 29 years. The business had its genesis in a shop in my backyard. As the business grew so did the need for space, and we opened our first storefont downtown on Arapahoe Street in 1983 and purchased our current location on W. 1st Avenue in 1994.

View our website, Commercial Art Glass, for a complete overview of all our services. We plan to use this blog space to give helpful hints to homeowners for maintaining their stained glass, to update you on new products and services and to give you an inside view into the workings of our glass shop. We'll share images of projects we're working on as well as showing off some of our amazing glasswork!

We love to hear your comments, so please don't hesitate to let us know what you think!
